Meet the Buyers and the Auctioneers

Planning to put up a small business that would require owning trucks for transport of your merchandise?  Why not check repossessed truck dealers and see if the truck that you want to buy is just sitting in a lot waiting for you.

Obviously, most people who will be interested checking out truck auctions are those entrepreneurs and companies with a limited source of funds. But making that decision to buy repossessed or second-hand trucks is probably the most practical thing to do even for big companies.

If you check truck auctions listings online, the possibility is endless. If you have the time to actually look around and visit dealers, you will be surprised at how many trucks are available for bidding.  The bidding can start for as low as 100USD so try to visit a number of auctions before being tied down to one dealer.

The quality of trucks in auctions may vary from overused to almost brand new. It is just a matter of having the patience to check as many dealers as possible before you make that deal. As the inventory changes daily, you have more options.

Trucks can either be seized by the government or banks or bought directly by dealers from first-hand owners. If you buy from a reputable organization then you can be confident that the contracts and titles are clean.

If it is your first time in buying a second-hand vehicle, do not be a willing victim of your impulse. Do not buy the first truck that your eyes laid on because for sure there will be better trucks and offers. Consider alternative models and do not just be hooked into buying a particular model. Analyze your needs for the vehicle before deciding what models to choose from. Know the sellers before getting into a contract with them. Know their reputation and ask previous buyers from that seller. As a buyer, you should always ask the necessary questions. You are the customer so you need every little detail about the contract that you are getting yourself into.  And before you sign the contract, read the purchase terms and decide on how you are going to pay for it. Will it be an outright cash payment or a bank loan? Once you’re clear with the paperwork and have inspected the truck, you can now sign the contract and seal the deal.

Buying a used truck is no joke, there are risks involved.  Truck auctions are tricky and you should get the best people who can give you sound advice before the actual purchase. Doing your homework is also a must before you spend your money. Check out updated listings of trucks for auctions and the schedule for auctioning; otherwise, you will miss out a great opportunity simply because you didn’t pay close attention to dates.

On the other side of the fence, if you are the auctioneer, you’ll notice that the bidding is slower than the usual car auctions. You can start with an online posting for your truck. To make online auctioning more effective, you must be able to provide a number of pictures and technical information about your truck; otherwise, it will just be lost in the long list
